SCL PROGRAMMES: BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS 

Your attention is particularly drawn to the Limitation of Liability section below. You must read and understand this before you make any booking. Please also read our Use of Services Policy.

When you book with us, we want you to be completely satisfied with the service we offer.  Below are the terms and conditions, which let you know what to expect from us and what we expect from you.  These terms and conditions form a contract between us and you.  You also agree that you have read, understand and accept our Use of Services Policy, which we may updated from time to time.  The Use of Services Policy contains important information and terms including those about health and safety requirements and procedures, safeguarding children, medical conditions and allergies and drop-offs and pick-ups.

All personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms and conditions from time to time for example for legal or regulatory reasons. You can always find the most up-to-date terms on our website.

In this contract:

  • ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ means SCL Active, a trading name of SCL Education and Training Ltd; and
  • ‘you’ or ‘your’ means the person using our site to buy services from us.

We are Soccer Coaching Limited (trading as SCL Active), a company registered in England and Wales under company number: 04131660.

You should print and save a copy of these terms as they form a contract between us and you.


What we offer 

We offer different programmes, including, but not limited to:

  • Breakfast Clubs,
  • After School Extra-Curricular Clubs,
  • After School Care Clubs,
  • Saturday Soccer Club,
  • Holiday Activities/ Club,
  • INSET day childcare and Soccer Camp.

We refer to the above programmes, together or separately, as the SCL Programme.  Any programme we offer via our website is subject to these terms and conditions.

We will perform all services with reasonable skill and care and in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Please note that not every activity pictured in our literature or on the website is available at every venue so please check venue-specific details using the SCL website to find what is available and where.


Bookings 

To make a booking, you need to create an account. You need to make sure you keep your password and username confidential and you must tell us about any authorised use of your account. We don’t have access to your current password, and for security reasons, we may only reset your password

When you make a booking it is really important that all of the information that you provide to us is accurate and complete to the best of your belief and abilities. For example, we need to know about any allergies and/or medical conditions affecting your child. You must include all this information on the Child Registration Form. More information on this is found in our Use of Services Policy.

Bookings are subject to availability and accepted on a first come, first-served basis.

All places on SCL Programmes need to be booked in advance and online to ensure correct staff-to-children ratios are met.

To secure a place on an SCL Programme, all bookings must be made online at least one hour before the session commences.

All prices are correct at the time of printing of any hard copy material or as shown online. SCL reserves the right to make changes to  prices or services at any time prior to the start of an SCL Programme.  We shall let you know, as soon as we can, if there is any change to the booking information. If you are not happy with the change, then you can cancel the booking without charge within 48 hours of notification or accept the changes, which ever you prefer.

All bookings will need to be paid by credit card (either online or by calling our Customer Service team on: 0345 644 5747 – a booking will not be confirmed until payment is received.

We will do our best to ensure that your child is given a place on the SCL Programme that you choose, and on the date you choose, but we cannot guarantee the place until we receive payment online or via our customer services team.


Childcare Vouchers/School Invoice

A booking made using a Childcare Voucher or a School Invoice will only be formally confirmed once SCL receive full payment, within 5 days of the booking being made, (via the Childcare Voucher or School Invoice scheme).

We may refuse admittance to any SCL Programme if full payment has not been received within 5 days via the Childcare Voucher or School Invoice scheme.


Booking confirmations

Please check your booking confirmation that you receive carefully to ensure the dates, location and personal details are correct – please inform us as soon as possible if there are any discrepancies and at least 24 hrs before the start of the SCL Programme that you have booked on.


Late Bookings

We may not be able to register your child if you arrive without a booking

If you arrive at the SCL Programme and you have not made a booking, your child will only be granted access once you have made a booking by contacting the SCL Customer Service team on 0345 644 5747 or by confirming the booking online.   Please note that an additional £5 administrative fee will be charged to all late bookings.

We cannot guarantee a place on a SCL Programme in the event that you arrive at the relevant site without making a booking and entry is at the sole discretion of the SCL staff on site.

You understand that admittance will only be permitted if:

  • you are already registered for SCL services and hold a current booking account.
  • There are enough staff on duty to ensure compliance with required staff-to child-ratios. Any late admittance to any programme will be at the sole discretion of the SCL staff on site.


Making Payment 

We accept different forms of payment but additional steps are required by you if you are using Vouchers and Tax Free childcare.

Debit and Credit Cards: You can pay by credit or debit card for our Holiday Activities, After School Care Clubs and selected Breakfast Clubs

Childcare Vouchers:  If you are using childcare vouchers for Holiday Activities, please contact your childcare voucher provider and quote SCL’s individual reference number which can be found at https://sclactive.co.uk/childcare-vouchers/ to authorise the payment. All childcare voucher payments must be released within 48 hours of making the booking.

Tax Free Childcare: When paying via your Tax -Free Childcare account, please search for “SCL” along with the name of the venue. Several accounts will appear with names of our venues – please ensure that “SCL” is in the name attached to the venue otherwise payment will not be received us.

Promotional (“promo”) Codes: All promo codes are for Holiday Club bookings only and are subject to additional terms and conditions. All promo codes can only be used once. Promos cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers and are only applicable to new bookings. Promotions apply to selected venues only.

SCL reserves the right to exclude venues and cancel the promotion at any point, with immediate effect. This may be at one or all of the venues.


Returned Payments 

We may charge you if your payment is returned.

If the bank returns payment, then any bank charges incurred by SCL because of returned payments must be paid in full by you, in addition to the original booking fee.

SCL does not accept any liability for bank charges you may incur, or if childcare vouchers are not authorised for payment.

In all cases, the responsibility rests firmly with you to ensure all payments are valid at the time of booking and please remember that your child’s place is only confirmed when payment is cleared and received by us.


Late Collection Fee 

SCL reserves the right to charge additional fees for late collection of children. This fee will apply to every SCL Programme at a rate of £5.00 per child for every period of 15 minutes or part minutes thereafter the appointed collection time. You shall be advised by the site leader of the fee on collection of your children and a charge will be applied to your online account.  No payment will be accepted on site.


Amendments, Cancellations and Refunds 

Holiday Clubs, Breakfast and After School Care (including Inset Day) 

All SCL Programmes [listed above] can be amended by you up to 24 hours before the session starts and changed for a like for like booking in the future.  Please go to ‘My Account’ for details on how to do this.

If no alternative services are available, the session has already started or the request is within 24hrs of the start of the session please contact enquiries@wearescl.co.uk to discuss further options.

After School Sports Clubs 

Prior to the first session of an After School Sports Club starting you may cancel your course if we receive 48hrs notice..   Please go to ‘My Account’ for details on how to do this.

If your child is unable to attend individual dates throughout the course, we do not offer refunds for individual sessions.

Exceptions may be made in circumstances of illness or injury when a doctor’s letter may be requested.

If you have any other situation where you need to cancel a course, please contact enquiries@wearescl.co.uk where our team will discuss further options.


Changes and Cancellation by You 

Consumer Cancellation Rights

Where you make your booking ‘off-premises’ or at a ‘distance’, you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days of making your booking.  An ‘off-premises’ contract is one entered into away from our offices but where we are present. A ‘distance’ contract is one entered into away from our offices where we are not present. This includes online bookings.

You can exercise your right to change your mind and cancel your booking by emailing us at enquiries@wearescl.co.uk within the required timescales.

You understand that you will lose the right to cancel and that you will have to pay in full once we have commenced and/or provided the programme.


Changes and Cancellation by us 

We may need to amend activity programmes, schedules, services, dates, times and/or venues on occasions from time to time, for example if something happens that is outside of our control.

Where we do so, we will provide you with as much notice as we can.  If the changes do not suit you and you no longer want to proceed with your booking, we shall offer you another place on the same or similar SCL Programme or issue a refund if no alternative is available.

Should SCL need to cancel a SCL Programme, for any reason within our control, we shall do so with as much notice as possible and you will be offered a full refund or a place on the same or similar SCL Programme at a later date.

If we are unable to run the particular SCL Programme due to an event outside our control (e.g., due to severe weather, teacher strikes, government advice and/or restrictions etc), you can amend your booking to another suitable time or SCL will issue a voucher for the unused sessions that you can use at a later date or you can request a refund for the unusued sessions.


Limitation of liability

Except for any legal responsibility that we cannot exclude in law (such as for death or personal injury) or arising under applicable laws relating to the protection of your personal information, we are not legally responsible for any:

  • losses that were not foreseeable to you and us when the contract was formed (this is sometimes called indirect or consequential damages);
  • losses to property. For example we are not responsible for any mobile phones or other similar devices;
  • losses that were not caused by any breach on our part;
  • business losses (including loss of profit); or
  • losses to non-consumers.

None of your statutory rights shall be affected by the provisions in this clause.


Other Important Terms 

We may transfer our contract to someone else and we may sub-contract any or all of our obligations. We may transfer our rights and obligations under our contract to a third party. We will always tell you in writing if this happens and we will ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under these terms and conditions.  We may use subcontractors to perform part or all of the services without your consent, subject to us remaining liable for the acts and omission of any subcontractors. You may not transfer your rights and obligations without our prior written consent, not to be unreasonable withheld.

Notices: Notices relating to the terms of our contract will be provided to you via the email address registered for your account. It is your responsibility to ensure that the details we hold for you are current at all times.  All notices to us must be sent to enquiries@wearescl.co.uk.

Nobody else has any rights under our contract with you. These terms are between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of these Terms.

If a court finds part of these terms and conditions unlawful, the rest will continue in force. Each clause of these terms and conditions operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining clauses will remain in full force and effect.

Even if we delay in enforcing our contract with you, we can still enforce it later. If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms and conditions, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking our contract with you, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date. For example, if you miss a payment and we do not chase you but we continue to provide the services, we can still require you to make the payment at a later date.

Complaints:  SCL is fully committed to delivering the highest standards of teaching, coaching and childcare to the community. We aim to ensure every child has a fantastic experience of any SCL Programme and they cannot wait to come back. If you, or your child, are not entirely satisfied with the service we provide, we would like to hear about it. If we are aware of any problem while your child is still attending a SCL Programme, we can aim to resolve this at an early stage. You can be assured that any complaint will be taken very seriously and in the strictest confidence.

In the first instance, the complaint should be made to the site leader, who will look into the matter. If you feel the response to the complaint is not acceptable or you would like to take the grievance further, the complaint should be made in writing and addressed to: Customer Complaints, SCL, Unit 7, Lakeside Business Park, Sandhurst, Berkshire GU47 9DN. or sent via; enquiries@wearescl.co.uk, or, if a sensitive issue by calling SCL Head Office on 0345 644 5747 and we shall advise accordingly.

Which laws apply to these terms and conditions and where you may bring legal proceedings. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with a contract between us and you or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
